Personalized Christian Keychains / Keyrings – Custom made with your text

As I mentioned in a previous blog post, personalized Christian jewelry made from your ideas is something I really enjoy making. Personalized religious jewelry makes the best gift because, it’s personalized! I’m always interested in hearing new ideas and making things that are unique and one of kind. Do you have an idea? Let me know.

Custom - Made to Order with Your Text Personalized Christian Cross KeychainA new addition to my site and Etsy store, is the personalized cross keychain I now offer.  The rectangular style with a Cross cutout keychain has been a favorite of my customers. As you can see in the photos, I can put a bible verse (book, chapter, verse), a name, date or whatever else you have in mind.  I can adjust the width and length of the personalized religious keychain if you have an idea that wouldn’t fit as shown in the photos. Want the Cross a slightly different shape or style? I can do that too. I’d love to hear your idea to make a personalized religious keychain for your friend, family member, pastor or co-worker.  Send me your ideas here.

Christian Books I Recommend

Over the past year or so I’ve done a lot of reading; almost all of which are Christian books. Most have been great reads while others well, not so great. I thought I’d pass on my favorites in case anyone visiting my blog happened to stumble upon this blog post and was looking for a new book to read.

My favorite by far is the book I start every day with… My Bible.  Up until the end of 2015 I would always read my study bible which was a NIV translation. It was by far the best bible I’ve owned for the study/commentary portion of the bible. At the beginning of the year though I came across a tweet by Frank Turek @Frank_Turek that mentioned the current bible I read;  The Apologetics Study Bible.  This bible is a HCSB translation which I seem to enjoy reading much more than the NIV translation. While the study commentary notes are not as thorough, the book has over 130 articles spread throughout that cover many topics related to apologetics. It’s a great bible that I highly recommended.

Along with the bible I also have a new commentary series of books which goes into great detail about each verse of the bible. Commentary books can be extremely helpful in opening our eyes to better understand God’s words and stories that are contained in the bible. While there are many commentary books out there, I settled on The Wiersbe Bible Commentary. There are two books in the series. I highly recommend them.

Aside from reading the bible, I’ve read the following 4 books.  All have been outstanding reads by my favorite authors, Frank Turek, Lee Strobel, and Greg Laurie.

Stealing from God: Why Atheists Need God to Make Their Case

The Case for Christ: A Journalist’s Personal Investigation of the Evidence for Jesus (Case for … Series)

The Case for Faith: A Journalist Investigates the Toughest Objections to Christianity (Case for … Series)

Custom Christian Jewelry – Custom Christian Necklaces, Bracelets and Keychains

I get ideas for the jewelry I make from many different places. I may read a certain Bible verse, see something I like in a movie, or hear a member of my family mention something… all which can lead to a design, shape or verse I put into the jewelry.  However, my favorite ideas come from my website and Etsy store visitors.

N144cCustom Christian jewelry ideas are one of my favorite things to make. When a visitor contacts me with an idea, the idea will always have a personal touch and meaning behind it.  These personal touches are what makes the best Christian jewelry in my mind.

N143c_2You’ll see Cross jewelry, Christian bracelets, necklaces and Christian keychains worn and used by many people. But when there’s a date, initials or specific verse placed into the design, it always has a deeper personal meaning to it. A meaning which gives the wearer a positive feeling of uniqueness.

I Believe - John 3:16 Christian Cross Cuff BraceletSome of the most recent custom Christian jewelry pieces I’ve made are for specific sporting events, baptisms, initials with Bible verses, Crosses in specific shapes and name/verse combinations.  These customs pieces range from my most popular Christian dog tags to custom Christian bracelets and custom Christian necklaces.  I’ve also recently started making custom Christian key-chains, which is a personal favorite of mine, since I like to have unique and personal pendants/keychains attached to my keys.

Do you have an idea for a custom piece?  Let me know, I’d love to hear it.

A few ideas that you could personalize for yourself or a friend:

The Cross – it’s much more than just jewelry

crossFor many the Cross is just a nice piece of jewelry. Others may wear Cross jewelry because they’re fans of Jesus. Neither one of these should be the reason you wear Cross jewelry. The Cross stands for SO much more.

Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins. He paid that price on the Cross… a painful, torturous way to die. Typically only used for the worst criminals to Rome, dieing on the Cross was one of the worst ways you could go. In fact it was so bad, that if you were a Roman citizen you couldn’t be crucified.

Jesus mentions “taking up the Cross” in several verses:

Matthew 16:24 (NIV)
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

Mark 8:34 (NIV)
The Way of the Cross
34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

Luke 9:23 (NIV)
23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Luke 14:27 (NIV)
27 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

Many people don’t understand this scripture and will relate their problems of today to the Cross. They’ll say they have a cross to bear because of some problems that’s going on in their life, at work, etc.

This is NOT what it means.

What Jesus meant is that to be a disciple and follower (not a fan that watches from the sideline) of his, that you need to put to death your own plans and desires, and turn your lives over to Him and do His will, each and every day. When you take up your Cross, you walk in Christ’s steps, live as he lived, and love as he loved. The Cross and Jesus is where all wounds of sin are healed. Any suffering you have, can be healed in the Cross of Jesus Christ. Keeping the Cross of Jesus Christ central in your life will protect you from all the evil and false teaching that go on in the world.

If you’re not a follower of Jesus, it’s NEVER too late. He’ll accept you no matter how broken you think you are. Turn your life over to him, give up on what you want in life and start living the life that He has planned for you. You’ll be amazed at the power of Jesus when you start having a personal relationship with him. You can then proudly wear that favorite Cross jewelry of yours and know that you are forever saved because of Christ and that you have taken up your Cross.

I invite you to check out all of my Cross jewelry which you can find here.

Are you interested know more about turning your life over to Jesus? I’d be happy to hear from you. If I don’t have the right answer for your questions, I’ll find the right person for you to chat with.

Christian Jewelry for Weightlifters, Trainers, Athletic and Fitness Fans

Christian weightlifters, Christian trainers, athletic and fitness fans — Christ and fitness… all of these things go hand in hand. Just take a look at scripture…

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV)
19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Romans 12:1-2 (NIV)
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Now I didn’t always care about fitness. Most of my young life I was skinny. I always wanted to have big muscles, but I never put in the time. Through my college years and for a while after college I did nothing to help my health. Actually most of what I did was unhealthy. Even though I went through this period, I always admired men and women who were physically fit and especially men who took the time to get large muscles from weightlifting, body building and training.

My turning point was a few years ago after I finally truly came to know my Savior. I realized that I have to really take care of my temple and had to make sure I was healthy enough to live out and fulfill what God put me on this wonderful planet to do. Realizing all of this took me from an overweight 250lbs to where I am now…. the healthiest, most fit and strong 205lbs that I’ve ever been.

One of my favorite things to do is lift weights. I currently lift at least 4 days per week. I’ve done it long enough now that it’s actually a habit that I hate to miss.  When I started Lifting Faith, I realized there weren’t any type of Christian weightlifting jewelry that I really liked. So I started making some myself.

A few current items I have available are pictured below (if you find an item that has already been sold, but would like me to make another, let me know)…
